Halloween Wars Episodes Guide for Season Two

This Sunday begins season two of Halloween Wars on the Food Network.  Tonight’s Halloween Wars Episode Guide is on Evil Clowns, which takes 5 teams. Each team has 3 warriors, a master pumpkin carver, culinary baker and professional candy maker. The host will announce a the Halloween theme and any items they must have in the display, and then the challenge begins and the clock starts. Last year the teams had 3 challenges, but by the final round, an extra requirement was added to really separate the winners. Each week these teams create masterpieces – and all for our amusement!

This week the Halloween Wars teams will be challenged to create the most terrifying, traumatic Evil Clown for Halloween Wars!

Last year they carved pumpkins that were so large they were over a ton! They had candy that looked like blown like glass, baked shaped cakes into sculpted faces, and then, within minutes, all the ghoulish parts were put together to create one elaborate, edible scary display of Halloween cheer. The final round, which is the most intense, always has some extra challenge added after only a few hours of work. I remember one was to add disgusting slime to evoke the judges’ nausea with the requirement that it must taste good.

Each show will have a final judging on the best Halloween themed displays, and each week one team will be removed. By the fourth show, one winning team will be awarded $50,000.

Halloween Wars – Evil Clowns – Episode Guide

Tonight’s Food Networks Season 2 of Halloween Wars challenge is to make a Halloween display themed on the terrifying Evil Clown. This is the first episode, so all 5 teams will be making these nightmare clowns. The individual teams will work against the competition to construct a masterpiece before the show is over. Each display will showcase the skills of the individual members in the team and include various pumpkins,  pumpkin carving skills, baking skills, and all kinds of sugary sweets.  Each team has an expert baker, pumpkin carver and candy craftsman that will work against the clock. The teams hope to design a masterpiece that evokes fears, phobias and nightmares while remaining edible.

When the clock starts , the teams will scramble to design and create the display. The teams will be judged on their creativity, use of materials, and skills. The teams are not limited on their inspirations. They can create something totally original, recreate a past or present famous clown, or reflect a statement – but it must have an evil clown or the team will be dropped.

Many things can and do go wrong. From carving the pumpkin and parts, pieces crack or break off, and the team doesn’t have time to start over. Bakers and candy makers have more of a challenge as they do the baking and cooking for everything on the show. It also must be edible, and if something is under cooked or burnt, the judges count off for it. Even the best ideas can fail.

If you check out last year’s episodes, you will understand my utter amazement at their talent. They are geniuses!
